- Tim Bowles, West of England Mayor Tim was elected as the first Mayor for the West of England on May 4, 2017. During his career, he has combined international business roles with public service in the West of England.
  
  He has international experience working in business development, exports, sales and marketing. Having worked with small and medium-sized enterprises and global players, he is committed to supporting businesses of all sizes to achieve their full potential.
  
  Before his election as Mayor, Tim was part of South Gloucestershire Council’s leadership team, working across the organisation with particular focus on policy and resources. He was also a parish councillor, and chairman of Winterbourne Parish Council for many years. He served 12 years as a governor of one of the largest secondary schools in the region.

- Christoph Lüth is vice director of the Cyber-Physical Systems group at the German Research Centre for Artificial Intelligence (Deutsches Forschungszentrum für Künstliche Intelligenz, DFKI) in Bremen, and professor for computer science at the University of Bremen. He holds a PhD from the University of Edinburgh, and a Habilitation from the University of Bremen. He has authored or co-authored over eighty peer-reviewed papers, and was the principal investigator in several research projects in the area of formal methods. His research covers the whole area of the development of systems of high quality, from theoretical foundations to the development of tools to construct or verify systems, and applications in practical areas such as robotics.

From 2015 to 2017, he was an Executive at the Hyundai Motor Company.
  
  He has been nominated as an IEEE Fellow from 2013 to 2016. He was a best paper award recipient in recognition of technical contributions to both DesignCon2006 and DesignCon2008. He holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST).
  
  He has authored ‘Power Integrity for I/O Interfaces With Signal Integrity/ Power Integrity Co-Design’(Prentice Hall 2010), ‘Career Development for Global Leaders’(2015), and ‘4th Industrial Revolution for the New Republic of Korea with a Focus on People’ (June 2017).

Recent projects include, the West of England Combined Authority’s £5million 5G Smart Tourism Testbed in Bristol and Bath; undertaking national research on the UK Tourism Sector’s readiness for 5G-enabled digital innovation, such as Augmented and Virtual Reality; establishing the region’s Smart Alliance and network of Living Labs and research work on the fusion of Digital technology with the built environment as part of a Digital Placemaking Fellowship.
  
  Stephen previously worked at Bristol City Council, where he led a successful Department called Bristol Futures. He is a Fellow of the University of Bristol’s Digital Futures Institute, focussing on the convergence of technology and society – “Socio-Tech”. He is a Trustee of the Architecture Centre and member of the Academy of Urbanism.
Craig Stires

- Craig Stires is the APJ Head of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence for AWS. He leads the market development teams in the region, serving lighthouse customers in BFSI, Media/Entertainment, Retail, Manufacturing, and Logistics. With 23 years building and delivering analytics and machine learning solutions, and 20 years living in Asia, he has hands-on experience in business transformation through many of the local markets. He founded and was GM for a Thailand-based startup, Asia Xero, delivering predictive intelligence software to Media and Healthcare customers. He now provides executive advisory on ML investments for customer engagement, market expansion, and data monetization.
Dirk Ahlers

Professor, NTNU
- Dr. Dirk Ahlers is a senior researcher and project manager of the H2020 +CityxChange Smart City project, at the Smart Sustainable Cities group of the Department of Architecture and Planning at NTNU, the Norwegian University of Science and Technology. He has been a research scientist in the Information Systems group and an ERCIM Marie Curie postdoctoral fellow at the Data and Information Management group of the NTNU Department of Computer Science. He holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Oldenburg, Germany. His research interests are Urban Intelligence, Smart Cities, Sustainability, Climate Neutral Cities, Open Innovation, Urban Systems Modeling, Geospatial Retrieval, Information Retrieval, Web Mining, Search Engines, Information Access, Mobile, and Everything Geo.
